(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 8 - Penelope Cruz is grabbing attention in
Modena on a shoot for Michael Mann's new film about Enzo
Ferrari.
The 48-year-old Spanish actress, who won a best supporting
actress Oscar in 2008 for Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina
Barcelona, plays the wife of the Formula One glamour team
founder, Laura, opposite Oscar nominee Adama Driver as Enzo.
Last week Cruz was seen strolling through the centre of the
Emilian city before visiting a famed local eatery Da Enzo, where
she had the local speciality tortellini.
On Thursday she was seen filming in the iconic Largo Garibaldi
while on Friday the San Cataldo cemetery became a set for the
film, which is set in 1957, for one of the saddest days in
Ferrari's life, the funeral of his son Dino.
The town council said this week parts of the city centre
including the Casalgrande district will be off limits for the
shoot.
The film, titled Ferrari, also features Shailene Woodley and
Patrick Dempsey, and is set for release next year.
It follows the life of Enzo Ferrari while he deals with family
problems while also preparing for the 1957 Mille Miglia. (ANSA).
