(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 1 - Investigators have identified several
suspects in relation to the hit in which an 18-year-old man was
shot in the head on Monday in the town of Alatri, in province of
Frosinone near Rome, sources said on Wednesday.
The victim, named as Thomas Bricca, was shot by one of two
people aboard a scooter while in a street in the centre of the
town.
The teen, who underwent surgery, is in a deep coma and his
situation appears desperate, with doctors saying his levels of
brain activity are extremely low.
There were reports on Tuesday that he he had been declared
clinically dead, but this was not confirmed in a hospital
bulletin.
It is suspected that the hit could be a score-settling attack
after recent brawls between gangs of youths in the town or a
case of mistaken identity. (ANSA).
