(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 8 - Austria must return to legality and
lift its restrictions on Italian heavy goods traffic through the
Brenner Pass, Transport Minister Matteo Salvini said Wednesday.
"First those in lawlessness must return to lawfulness, and then
everything can be discussed, said rightwing League leader
Salvini, who is also infrastructure minister as well as deputy
premier.
"The citizens of the Eisack Valley are also asking for a clean
environment, and transferring goods by rail is of interest to
everyone," said Salvini regarding the restrictions on lorries
imposed by Austria at the Brenner Pass.
"If you have parked your car in the handicapped spot and you
want to discuss, first remove your car and then we will discuss
how to redo the road system," he added. (ANSA).
