(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 7 - Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said
Tuesday he will repeat a call for Mideast dialogue on his trip
to Israel and the occupied West Bank on Sunday and Monday.
"We have always called for calm, problems are not solved by
violence on either side," Tajani said on the sidelines of an
event at the foreign ministry in Rome.
"Instead, we must dialogue and build a path.
"Italy wants to build a path of peace and stability, reaffirming
that Israel's independence and security are a priority and that
we must arrive at two independent states that can negotiate and
discuss with each other".
After h is visit to Israel and the occupied Palestinian
territories, Tajani will move on to Egypt Monday. (ANSA).
