(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 30 - Deputy Premier and Infrastructure
Minister Matteo Salvini on Thursday accused France of turning
back migrant children at its border with Italy while at the same
time harbouring Italian terrorists.
This week the French supreme court definitively rejected Italy's
request for the extradition of 10 leftist terrorists convicted
of crimes related to the nation's 'Years of Lead' of political
violence in the 1970s and 80s.
"It is shameful," said League leader Salvini.
"They push children back to us in forests at the border at
Ventimiglia and keep a tight hold on the terrorists who should
be in jail in Italy". (ANSA).
