(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 13 - Italy came away empty handed from the
95th Oscars ceremony after Alice Rohrwacher and Aldo Signoretti
failed to land Academy Awards.
Rohrwacher's Le Pupille (The Pupils) was in the running in the
Best Live Action Short category that was won by An Irish Goodbye
by Tom Berkeley and Ross White.
The team of veteran Italian make-up artist Signoretti's was
nominated for its work on Baz Luhrmann's biopic Elvis.
But the Best Makeup and Hairstyling Oscar went to Adrien Morot,
Judy Chin, and Anne Marie Bradley for their work on Darren
Aronofsky's The Whale. (ANSA).
