(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 30 - Italy's progress towards achieving
the milestones and targets of the National Recovery and
Resilience Plan (NRRP) "has been positive" so far, a
spokesperson for the European Commission said at the daily press
briefing in Brussels on Thursday.
"For the moment, the implementation of the plan is ongoing, as
you know we are evaluating the third payment request and we have
agreed on a further extension and then we will present our
assessment by the end of April," added the spokesperson in
response to a question on the Commission's confidence in Italy's
ability to spend the full 220 billion provided for under the
massive post-COVID programme to make the Italian economy Greener
and more modern with EU grants and low-interest loans. (ANSA).
