(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 8 - A 16-year-old boy was arrested in
Pescara in Abruzzo on charges of bullying a 14-year-old boy whom
he allegedly head-butted a month ago, breaking his nose.
Agents from the Pescara Flying Squad arrested the 16-year-old in
execution of a pre-trial detention order issued by a preliminary
investigations judge (GIP) at the request of the L'Aquila
Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
Police acted on "serious suspicions of guilt for attempted and
aggravated extortion and injuries against a 14-year-old boy, who
had already been the victim of bullying acts spread on social
networks", judicial sources said.
Police deemed it necessary to detain him in prison not only for
the serious offences, but also for having "acted by attributing
himself a position of supremacy in the local youth community",
the sources said. (ANSA).
