(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 6 - A 54-year-old man from Busto Arsizio
north of Milan was placed under investigation Monday on
suspicion of pocketing some 700,000 euros from the slot machines
he was employed to collect proceeds from.
Police said the man managed companies that collected the money.
He allegedly used the cash to feed a luxurious life style,
police said.
He had powerful sports cars and frequented pubs and clubs where
Serie A soccer stars were regular customers, they said.
Police issued a seizure order for 707,000 euros against the man.
They also banned him from working with the civil service for 12
months. (ANSA).
